Now that the COVID-19 pandemic emergency response has ended and we are coming to the end of our winter cold and flu season we wish to inform you of a change to our face-mask policy at Nepean Health Care. Commencing 18th September 2023, we ask that you respect the following policy to help maintain the safety of staff and patients attending the clinic.
If you DO NOT have any respiratory symptoms of recent onset then wearing a face-mask is optional.
We do strongly encourage those who are immunocompromised or have complex medical conditions to wear a face-mask for their own protection.
If you DO have any respiratory symptoms of recent onset then we ask that you perform a COVID-19 Rapid Antigent Test (RAT) at home before attending the clinic.
If the test is positive then please change your appointment to telehealth if you require medical advice.
If the test is negative then you may attend the clinic but we ask that you wait outside the clinic for your appointment and wear a face-mask when you are called to enter the clinic.
Respiratory symptoms include any of the following:
- Runny nose
- Cough
- Fever
- Sore throat
- Shortness of Breath
- Altered Sensation of taste or smell
